The watch that dominates the market in terms of sales just got an upgrade. The S9 system in package (SiP) found in the new Apple Watch Series 9 contains sixty percent more transistors than the S8 series chip found in the previous generation of Apple Watches. Apple also debuted a brand new watch strap made of the FineWoven material. This material has a smaller carbon footprint than leather does, so it was a natural choice for Apple. In addition to that, the Watch 9 series is completely free of carbon emissions. The Apple Watch Series 9 will be available for pre-order starting later today at a price of $399, and open sales will begin on September 22.
