Exynos 2400 Will Have a New Xclipse 940 GPU And a 10-Core CPU

The Exynos 2400, which is rumored to be included in some Galaxy S24 models, is anticipated to be released by Samsung after a full year. Although it might not be able to compete with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or the Dimensity 9300, Samsung might be able to save money on components thanks to the launch of its 2024 flagship family. There has been a lot of information shared regarding the specifications rumor, so let’s jump right into the specifics.

The new Xclipse 940 GPU, which will once again be based on AMD’s RDNA2 architecture, will work in tandem with the 10-core CPU. The successor is expected to have twice as many compute units as the Xclipse 920. However, keep in mind that just because the Xclipse 940 may have twice as many compute units as the Xclipse 920, it does not necessarily follow that it will be twice as fast.

AnTuTu claims that the new Exynos SoC will have a 10-core CPU divided into the “1 + 2 + 3 + 4” cluster. Although an earlier rumor claimed that some tinkering allowed the Cortex-X4 to run at 3.20GHz, this suggests that the chipset will have a single Cortex-X4 core operating at a frequency of 3.10GHz. Although it is unknown if the higher frequency will be picked by default for the super core, we’ll keep an eye out for it.

Fortunately, Samsung’s new 4nm architecture ought to result in some enhancements to performance and efficiency, making the Exynos 2200 seem like a distant memory in comparison to the Exynos 2400. Moving on to wireless connectivity, Samsung’s upcoming SoC is rumored to include the Exynos 5300 5G modem, which is said to have a maximum downlink limit of 10Gbps and a 3.87Gbps uplink speed, just like the Snapdragon X75.
