You may recall that we informed you in the past that Sony would be launching not one but two new cameras within their Sony Alpha series on August 29, 2023. Tuesday saw the launch of two new cameras from Sony: the Sony Alpha 7C II and the Sony Alpha 7C R. In addition, Sony has presented the FE 16-35 mm F/2.8 GM II lens to the market. The prices of the cameras have not been made public just yet, but the official Sony website says that they will be available very soon.

The Sony Alpha 7C II, the Sony Alpha 7C R, and the FE 16-35 mm F/2.8 GM II lens each come equipped with a number of interesting and useful features.

Sony Alpha 7C II Features:

The Sony Alpha 7C II is a full-frame camera that has a resolution of 33 megapixels and uses a back-illuminated Exmor RTM CMOS image sensor. In addition to that, the BIONZ XR processing engine is utilized by it.

It is capable of recording images in the S-Log 3 and 4K 60p formats.

The Sony Alpha 7C II has a native ISO range of 100 – 51200. But this can be expanded to 50 – 204800 if the user so chooses.

There is a TFT monitor of the 3.0 type measuring 7.5 cm in size.

Sony Alpha 7C R Features:

Back illumination is used for the Exmor R CMOS image sensor that can be found in the 61 megapixel full-frame Sony Alpha 7C R camera. In addition to this, it comes equipped with a cutting-edge BIONZ XR processing engine. Which has the potential to increase overall speed by a factor of up to eight.

It can output 4K video at up to 60 frames per second or 50 frames per second.

The Sony Alpha 7C II has a native ISO range of 50 – 102400. But this can be expanded to 100 – 32000 if the user so chooses.

There is a TFT monitor of the 3.0 type measuring 7.5 cm in size.

The FE 16-35 mm F/2.8 GM II Lens:

The high-end wide-angle zoom lens from the G master series features elements made of both XA and ED glass. Which allows it to deliver high resolution across the entire image.

The lens has a feature called Nano AR Coating II, which lessens the amount of flare and ghosting that occurs.
